These terms cover bookings made with Example Shop through this site. By booking an appointment or requesting a quote, you agree to them.
Example Shop operates from 123 Main St, Long Island, NY. You can reach us at hello@example.com or +1 (516) 555-0142.
Booking a time reserves capacity in the shop for your vehicle. Times are estimates: the work in front of yours can run long, and we will tell you as soon as we know if your slot is affected.
Please arrive with the vehicle at the agreed time. If you are significantly late we may need to reschedule, because the bay is booked behind you.
A quote is an estimate based on what you have told us and, where applicable, on photographs. It is not a fixed price until we have seen the vehicle.
If the work turns out to need more than the quote covered — hidden damage, previous repairs, a different panel count — we will contact you with a revised price and wait for your approval before continuing. We will not carry out unapproved work and then bill you for it.
Prices shown include the items listed on your quote. Taxes and any parts sourced on your behalf are shown separately where they apply.
We do not take a deposit to hold an appointment. Payment is due when the work is complete unless we agree otherwise in writing.
You can cancel or move an appointment yourself up to 24 hours before it starts, using the link in your confirmation. Inside that window, contact us directly and we will do what we can.
Please remove valuables and personal items before your appointment. We take reasonable care of the vehicle while it is with us, but we cannot be responsible for items left inside it.
You confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorised by the owner to have this work carried out on it.
Vehicles are to be collected on the agreed date. If a vehicle is left with us significantly beyond that, storage charges may apply — we will always tell you before they start.
We carry out work with reasonable skill and care, using the materials described on your quote.
Pre-existing conditions are not our responsibility: paint that is already failing, previous bodywork, aftermarket film or coatings applied elsewhere, and mechanical faults present on arrival. Where we can see a risk before starting, we will tell you.
Any warranty on materials is the manufacturer's and passes to you. Any warranty on our labour is as described to you in writing for that job.
We photograph vehicles before and after work as a record of their condition, and we may show finished work publicly, including on social media.
Number plates are obscured on anything we publish. If you would rather your vehicle was not shown publicly at all, tell us and we will keep it to our internal records — just ask.
When you book, you are agreeing to receive messages about that booking: confirmations, reminders, and updates on the work. These are service messages, not marketing.
Message frequency varies with your booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not cancel your appointment — we will contact you by email or phone instead.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise, our liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that work. We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of use, hire costs, or lost earnings.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of NY, and any dispute will be handled in the courts there.
We may update these terms. The version in force for your booking is the one published when you booked, and the date at the top of this page tells you when the wording last changed.
Questions about any of this: hello@example.com or +1 (516) 555-0142.
