This explains what Example Shop collects when you book or request a quote, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Only what a booking actually needs:
Booking your work, quoting it, carrying it out, taking payment, and contacting you about it. That is the whole of it.
We keep a record of past work because it is genuinely useful the next time your vehicle is with us — we know what film is on it, what was coated, and what we found last time.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by us — we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits.
When you give us your mobile number and book, you are agreeing to receive text messages about that booking: confirmation, reminders, updates on the work, and a message when your vehicle is ready.
Message frequency varies depending on your booking and the work involved. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Stopping texts does not cancel your appointment — we will reach you by email or phone instead.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not use your number for marketing from anyone else.
This site may use analytics and advertising tools — for example a Meta pixel or Google Analytics — to understand which adverts bring people here and whether a booking resulted.
Where those tools receive information about a booking, contact details are hashed before they are sent, so the advertising provider receives an irreversible fingerprint rather than your email address or phone number.
You can limit this through your browser or device settings, and through the advertising preferences of the provider concerned.
Booking and payment records are kept while you are a customer and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require.
Photographs you upload with a quote are kept with that quote. Ask us and we will delete them.
If you have an account with us you can download everything we hold about you, and request deletion, from your account page at any time. If you booked as a guest, email us and we will do the same.
Deleting your account removes your profile and personal details. Records we are legally required to retain — an invoice, for example — are kept in a minimal form and are not used to contact you.
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
